KINTALINE FARM PLANT AND POULTRY CENTRE Benderloch by OBAN Argyll PA37 1QS Scotland
2010 is a year for re-evaluating all our values and working to improve our personal sustainability, there has never been a better time to get our gardens working harder for ourselves, growing our own food: meat and eggs, recycling more, breeding more useful types of birds, and helping each other.
Our websites are full of experienced advice, from decades of breeding and rearing and eating, and well researched, reliable, state of the art products for the domestic environment.
We look forward to helping you get more out of your garden or smallholding, and your birds, for a fulfilling 2010.
PLEASE read our CONTACT US page for our opening times.
We are very busy outside these days so, sometimes, the office is not manned.
Please email any queries about purchasing and we will get back in touch with you as soon as we can.

This is a portable house and run unit suitable for up to 6 medium sized, ducks or chickens, and a few more bantams. Based on a larger version of the Aylesford house and run but with the additional weather protected feed station at the end of the run with slatted floor to keep the area cleaner. sheltered feed point

Image right shows feeding station detail - having left feeders out here, where we get lots of horizontal rain I can give an assurance that the area is deep enough to properly protect the feed from getting wet. We know from experience that few designs from elsewhere do.

This unit is great as it gives enclosed birds a much better environment and more shelter against the vagaries of our climate - both rain and heat. To give them an area that provides a better quality of life, fill the run with bark.

Its a perfect size for raising a small number of table birds, if you are not in an area of the country with idyllic weather! make it even better by fitting shelter panels to the sides leaving a gap at the top of the run, and covering the run with polythene or mini-profile corrugated sheeting.

Dimensions :-
129" Long (Incl Handles) x 42" wide
House size : 42" x 33"
Covered feed station : 18"

OPTIONAL EXTRAS
External nesting box - required for chickens : £42.00
Slide out Floor - for easier cleaning : £33.00
End Release - so your birds can explore the rest of the garden : £15.00
Full slatted floor for run : £46.00

Useful equipment recommended to accompany the Hereford -
4 litre plastic drinker 3 kg plastic feeder
3kg plastic feeder

galvanised feeder
The drinkers are robust, easy to fill and carry and have extending legs to keep debris out of the clean water. We can also provide the galvanised drinkers
Galvanised Galvanised hopper which can be screwed to the back wall of the house to keep the feed dry. This feeder will save space and is easily filled from above in situ.

covered run for bird flu protection For a larger area providing shade and shelter for your birds all year around and to be prepared for Avian influenza compliance here is a 9 ft by 6 ft Walk in covered run, including poly tarp for the roof.

9 x 6 ft walk in run £395
Carriage £40 when ordered alone
Carriage £10 when ordered with a house.

Perfect for shade, shelter all year around and AI compliance should it be required.
Ideal for temporary separation of birds, dogs and children.
Locate on an area of ground cover membrane and fill with deep coarse bark for a easy keep / fun for chickens surface
Great for giving young birds move space.

electric fencing for chickens ELECTRIC NETTING - the answer to being able to let your birds have a great deal more space but not be in danger from dogs, foxes, badgers etc. Our netting is green and black so much more visually pleasing. This will also help to keep wildfowl flocks at a distance if you are concerned.
